Ihor Muravyov

Conductor

 

Ihor Muravyov studied violin at the “Solomiya Krushelnytska” State Music School and at the “Mykola Lysenko” National Music Academy in Lviv, where he also completed his conducting studies in 2017.

Muravyov attended numerous masterclasses, including those with Maksym Vengerov, is a prizewinner of international competitions, and served as concertmaster at the Lviv State Opera from 2020 to 2022. His versatile repertoire includes works by Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Mozart, Shostakovich, Sibelius, and Tchaikovsky.

His performances have taken him to ensembles such as the Zielona Góra Philharmonic Orchestra, the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rivne Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Lviv Virtuosos Academic Chamber Orchestra.

Since the beginning of the 2022/23 season, Ihor Muravyov has been First Concertmaster of Kendlinger’s K&K Philharmoniker. He already made his conducting debut with the orchestra in 2020 during the Matthias Kendlinger Music Festival in Lviv. Since the 2022/23 season, he has also regularly conducted concerts of the “Vienna Johann Strauss Concert Gala.”

He furthermore impressed audiences as soloist in Kendlinger’s violin concerto “Galaxy” at the Festspielhaus Erl in Tyrol, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and the Konzerthaus Berlin. In spring 2024, Muravyov will once again perform this role during the tour “Best of Verdi meets Kendlinger.”
